Understanding Infertility treatments
Every couple is unique and every infertility case is handled differently. While some couples conceive immediately with even the basic treatments, others might require advanced tests and procedures before they become parents.
- Sperm cryopreservation- The husband’s sperms are stored ethically when the wife requires multiple cycles for her conception.
- Ovum pickup- USG-guided ovum pickup is done after follicle-stimulation in a dedicated sterile OT
- Sperm wash- Separation of the healthiest sperms takes place to ensure the best results. We use Olympus microscopes and only standard sperm media .
- ICSI- Best-in-class fully motorised and pneumatic Olympus ICSI machine for fusion of the sperm with the ovum.
- Incubator- mimics the uterus and ensure the cells divide in a controlled environment before they are transferred back into the mother.
- Embryo transfer- The embryo is placed from the incubator back to the mother’s uterus. From now onwards, the mother is pregnant.
- Laminar flow filters- Handling of sperm and ovum are carried out in 100% sterility and all microscopic work is done under pure laminar flow filters.
- TESA, PESA- Aspiration of sperms done directly from the testis or epididymis in cases of very low sperm count.

IUI,IVF and ICSI are different procedures which are required to make an infertile couple pregnant. The appropriate procedure is selected based on reports of both husband and wife. Every couple is unique. The costs are almost one third of that in cities like Pune-Mumbai.
