Dr.Vahida Tamboli completed her MBBS and DGO from Miraj Medical College in 1990. She started her medical career by serving the rural population in and around Kirloskarwadi. For her 5 years of relentless service in this area, she was awarded the Vijay Ratna Award in 1998 at New Delhi by the Government of India at the hands of the then Chief Minister of Delhi and CBI chief.
She shifted back to Miraj in 1995 and has since been at the forefront of Gynaecology and Obstetrics practice. She is instrumental in assisting Dr.Iqbal Tamboli with creating the first test tube baby in Sangli District in Maharashtra in 2005. She runs a successful private practice for more than 30 years in Miraj after starting out from her first hospital in Kirloskarwadi in addition to being a successful homemaker.
